About
me - David Hibberd
My
Dad was a gifted artist who was never able to persue his passion, or indeed
the scholarship he won to go to Art College, because he was needed in the
family business.
Sadly he died when I was only 15 but fortunately for me I inherited about 5%
of his talent and at that stage had a crazy dream to go to Art College. It
didn’t happen because I was told something I had never realised – I was
colour blind! In those days that mattered and my art master in an effort to
be helpful suggested I concentrate on pencil life drawing. That’s what I
did and it awakened a fascination for working with people.
My school also had a camera club which I joined at the age of 11 and over
the years the two interests knitted
together and I still feel that life drawing and photography are very
complementary persuits and I continue to do both now following very early
retirement on ill grounds from my cherished profession as a Chartered
Surveyor specialising in commercial property management.
As well as being a Chartered Surveyor, way back in 1986 I was awarded the
distinction of Associateship of The Royal Photographic Society for my nudes
and portraits. The passion continues undimmed! I work on location and
from my own dedicated studio in Brighton UK. I welcome your interest and enquiries.

Information
about modelling for me
Girls, its always great to hear from you, but please read these notes carefully before contacting me - it will save us both time and stress in the long run.
I am looking for committed creative artistically inclined young women, with or without previous experience and aged 18 - 30 who are interested in collaborating with me to make artistic nude photographs. If you have "issues", don't have a strong level of commitment, your Mum or boy or girlfriend have doubts about you modelling and you don't have a mind of your own to decide what you want to do please dont bother contacting me as my time and resources are limited and I am very keen to achieve the best possible results in an efficient, professional but friendly and creative manner in the studio and on location.
I offer suitable young women a chance to have quality creative nude pictures in the form of a selection of screen res digital pictures within 21 days of the shoot for their personal non assignable or transferable use, and to use on modelling profile sites such as this.
This is my personal work and I do not sell it to third parties. There simply are not enough hours in the day therefore I have to be very selective about whom I work with. Please note that am not interested in hearing from you what your rates are.
I am currently shooting nudes in the styles indicated on my profile and website etc, up to full frontal nudity. That is what I specialise in, and for which I was awarded the distinction of Associateship of The Royal Photographic Society in 1986. I do not work with girls whose levels stop at implied nudity as I find that restriction tiresome and restricting.
If we work together I may be prepared to go on to spend a little time at the end of the main shoot shooting other styles if you have gaps in your experience, or wish to experiment, if such work is mutually beneficial and interesting.
I use the interplay of light, shadow, and careful composition to create sensual female friendly pictures which do not degrade the subject and emphasise their beauty and the wonderful tactile quality of the body.
I work on projects with young women, the overwhelming majority of whom have never modelled before. My ideal model is committed, enthusiastic, intuitive, artistically inclined, and who likes my work and is prepared to work hard to experiment and collaborate with me to produce quality innovative work.
Please note that I do not allow any third party to be present when I am working. If it is simply a case of someone dropping you off, establishing that everything is in order, and returning later at the conclusion of the shoot to collect you, that would of course not be a problem.
